Lift: After the provider identifies any concerning mole a series of smart stickers are applied to painlessly collect skin cells from a suspicious mole.
Test: At Derm Tech’s Gene Lab, a proprietary process looks for the presence of elevated expression levels of two genes proven to correlate with melanoma.
Know: Results are sent to our office within 7 business days. Our office will use this information to choose the best path forward for your treatment. If the genomic markers are there, this will typically result in removal of the mole. If not, you’ve likely saved yourself a scar.
Billing: Derm Tech will take care of the billing to your insurance. Your insurance company will likely send you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). The EOB is not a bill. If any additional cost remains once your insurance company finalizes your claim, DermTech will send you a bill with any patient responsibility.
